The Wünsdorf district of Zossen has a mixture of historically important buildings and modern residences. The former tank training school, comprising a central structure with three wings plus auxiliary buildings, will become home to 120 exclusive residences. A central square creates a link between the existing heritage-listed building and four new buildings that will contain 72 residential units. All the flats have large recessed balconies or ground-level terraces. An underground garage beneath the new buildings will enable residents to park under shelter from the weather. The wooden façades on the new buildings establish the regional link with the nearby coniferous woodlands: the project recognises and brings together past and future.
